In his introduction to The Trial, George Steiner wrote: “The thought that there is anything fresh to be said of Franz Kafka’s The Trial is implausible.” The man goes on to provide three sound reasons one best not try. I might have been fool enough to challenge his assumptions if I had the time, but instead I thought I would share some of my own observations inspired by my reading.
